The Genesis: Pure Powders and Resin
Everything begins with the raw material: authentic copper or bronze powders.
These are not used as pigments, but as the structural body of the finish.
Combined with a two-component epoxy resin, they create a dense and vibrant metallic paste, influenced even by the temperature and humidity of the moment — a living material that reacts to its environment.
The Gesture: The Trowel
Unlike industrial processes that rely on flat and uniform spray coatings, RiFRA chooses trowel application.
The craftsman shapes the metal directly onto the MDF panel (previously prepared with a quartz primer).
This manual gesture imprints unique vibrations and movements: every panel has its own soul, a texture of reflections that can never be replicated twice.
The Metamorphosis: From 360 Grit to the Final Wax
The beauty of RiFRA metal reveals itself slowly.
Through a progressive polishing cycle, from 360 grit up to 4000, the surface transforms from matte and raw to luminous and deep.
The final touch is a deliberate choice:
we do not use polyurethane resins that would seal the metal beneath a plastic layer.
Instead, we apply wax, protecting the surface while preserving the authentic material depth and the natural reflection of real metal.
